Week 3

Bad Week , i missed the lecture due to chadstone vip sale , i missed the first hour of the class but thankfully we have live streaming on ustream so all is not lost. Not gonna say much on the lecture instead gonna talk more about the tutorial.

This week's tutorial was interesting with the video providing some very insightful look at how our preferences are affected. The thing that caught my attention was the part about the chair , i did not know about the chair history but i had always seen them in movies and in offices , i know the chair is one of the best and most ergonomical chair in the market but i did not know the chair has gone through the phase of criticism with critics calling it an ugly chair , when i first laid eyes on the chair, it wasnt ugly to me it was some what modern looking ,but over the years that change and critics are have changed their opinion from the intial opinion.

Another is the coke and pepsi war, how is that possible that a company can compare another competitors product on advertisements, cant coke sue them for defamation or something like that. Weird. This post is lacking in detail yeah i know , i will probably post the next post on the same week so i dont forget anything important.

Recap week?

Week 2 and its like the same thing all over again, blast from the past , well not really but week 2 was basically some stuff from fit1003 which was It in organization , types of development , how development works and stuff like that, some of the stuff that was thought in the lecture was still fresh to me cause i think some parts of the lecture links back to project management which i took last semester , all and all it was like a recap lecture for me , kinda boring and dry too cause its like learning the same thing again , learning the same thing again = not fun. However during the lecture i found out that the twitter scroll bar thingy was quite funny , some of the comments are really funny and distractive as well it always good to have something to look at when you are getting bored.

For tuts , i did the farmers part but something feels very wrong , is this subject suppose to be so easy? maybe its because the course only started for like 2 weeks but i still feel that its easier than some of the past subjects. Tutorial is kinda laid back too which i like, don't want nobody screaming or rushing me while i do my tuts.

overall not a bad week , i would call week 2 the recap week. Looking forward to week 3.

1st Post

So here i am doing a blog entry for one of my subjects ,Fit2001 which is System analysis and design.

My timetable for this subject is kinda weird cause i actually have my tutorials before my lectures so first week and I'm in the computer lab clueless on what should i do or what to expect , it was kinda hard to grasp the concept of systems and things like that at first ,but due to experiences and past semester subjects , i can at least understand what the tutor was saying and what he wants us to do. It was a group work ,my topic given by the tutor was about farming and the whole process of system from the farmers planting the crops and selling the crops at places like the supermarket. All is well but we need to do some presentation on week 2 and each group is kinda big like around 12people per group so its kinda hard to coordinate with each other. My group planned that 2 of us should just do our slides and combined it during the tuts in week 2. I don't really like this kind of separate work cause it makes the presentation looks weird cause each part is individual and it doesnt seem to be linked together. But i'll see how it goes on week 2.

Now to the lecture which is on thursday, the class is hard to find due to the hall is hidden in a small corner and i've only been here for like 2 weeks and i haven't really explore the campus yet so yeah it was kinda misleading. Finally i found the class and thankfully i was only late for like 5mins so it wasn't such a big deal or loss for me. Lecture goes on , lecture explains about the systems and things like that and tell us that we are suppose to get on blogs,twitter and facebook to get information. Really cool cause that'll make it more interesting than the go to uni website and get your notes and stuff from there , another thing i would like to add is that the subject is actually on moodle ,thank god , blackboard sucks so much sometimes i wonder why is the university still using it even though they have moodle. Oh yeah another cool thing to add is that there is a life feed thing that directly takes the tweets from twitter and shows it below the slides and yeah there was some funny tweets from the students in the class.

Well thats about it, goodnight. A for effort for starting this blog to get the extra 3 marks.
